What is Majic Premier?
Majic is a premier soccer club for boys based out of Bridgeport, CT.
For Fall 2011 and Winter/Spring 2012: Majic will field U13 and U14 teams.
For Winter/Spring 2012: Majic will field U15, and U18 teams.
How is Majic different than other Premier Soccer Clubs?
Majic is a smaller and more personal club than the more traditional premier soccer clubs in Connecticut. Majic owner and head of coaching, Michael A. Johnson, believes the size of the club strengthens the program as it offers more opportunities for individual attention for each player. As each player grows in confidence and ability, each team becomes stronger and more competitive.
Many premier soccer clubs have become inaccessible to many high level soccer players due to fees and travel costs for tournaments that can be out of the country or several hundreds of miles away. Majic participates in local tournaments.
Majic provides sponsorships and scholarships to players who would not otherwise be able to participate. The result is that Majic’s teams are culturally diverse, with each player bringing a variety of skills, techniques, and on-field play styles to their team.
Additionally, Majic encourages players to participate in sports and activities other than soccer (as long as there is not a great conflict with practices and games), and expects its players to achieve a high standard of physical fitness, a lifelong skill. It is important that young players be well-rounded and develop other skills as well.
There are many premier clubs in Connecticut to choose from - each with a great deal to offer. Please do some research before you invest what will prove to be a great deal of time and a considerable amount of money into a premier club.
What are the fees?
For U13 and U14: The fees are $2,100 for 3 seasons (fall, winter, and spring). $1,050 is due upon accepting a roster position and the balance of $1,050 is due October 1, 2011.
